A blessed September

The end of Ramadhan. The beginning of Syawal. However, the most awaiting Eid for me, bid goodbye 2 weeks ago. And now, Puasa Enam pulak. 3 more days to go. Hope I am blessed with good health to continue it tomorrow. InsyaALLAH.

One more day left before my family and I, all together depart to KL, and New Zealand next, for my graduation day. The most awaiting moment for a student who already finished her studies. Semoga perjalanan pergi dan pulang kami dijauhkan dari segala masalah, be it on immigration stuff, health, expenses, and everything. Hopefully everything will be easy, as easy as ABC org kampung penambang kata. Heee.

I am happy for the gift from above. I just wanna smile. Will update soon after coming back from New Zealand :))

10 hari mencari cinta-Nya

Assalamualaikum wbth.

Pejam celik pejam celik, tinggal lagi 10 hari je untuk kita berpuasa di bulan Ramadhan Al Mubarak ni. Tahun ni cukup sebulan puasa (minus hari yang diwajibkan untuk tidak berpuasa. Heee) kt rumah after 4 years being apart from my beloved family. Seronok sangat. Especially bila berbuka satu family kt meja makan. Waaahh. Memang betul la kan Allah cakap, kegembiraan bagi yang berpuasa tu adalah sewaktu kita berbuka puasa.

Teringat ketika sambut Ramadhan kt tempat org. Kita berpuasa tp orang2 sekeliling sedap sekali menjamu selera. Masuk kawasan Quad kat uni tu, macam2 bau makanan mencucuk2 lubang hidung. Elok berjalan nak gi kelas, selamba je waitress starbucks offer free drink samples. Dah tak merasa dah makan nasi beriyani arab dgn lamb shank besar gile beramai2 dalam satu dulang.

And part paling seronok sekali bila pakai telekung pastu slamber je jalan on the main road masa nak gi terawih. Sampai ade yang bertanya "Are you going to church to get married?" Haha. Gelak besar sebab rasa mcm kelakar. Telekung tu konon2 macam veil la agaknya bagi diorang tu. Tahun ni berterawih kat sini, the environment sangat berbeza. Dah takde dah jelingan2 asing bila bertelekung di luar rumah. Dah takde tazkirah by Sheikh Rafat after abes 4 rakaat of terawih. Dah takde rasa nyaman sejuk menggigil bila nak alik from terawih. Sekarang ni lepas terawih, cepat2 masuk kereta pasang aircond. hahaha. Different places different perangai and ragam. Tapi kat mana2 pun kita, kita tetap serve the one and only Allah SWT. Kita tetap dapat pahala kalau kita buat kebaikan dan dosa kalau kita buat kejahatan. InsyaALLAH semoga amalan kita sepanjang bulan Ramadhan ini dan juga bulan2 yang lain dapat membawa kita kepada pertemuan dgn Sang Pencipta Yang Maha Agung.

Sebenarnya nak share sikit kegembiraan kegembiraan yang disebut Allah bagi mereka yang berpuasa. Tapi terbebel lebih la pulak. haha. Meh2 try baca sikit ape yg ada kat bawah ni :

Kegembiraan pertama , kegembiraan ketika berbuka, iaitu kegembiraan dengan nikmat yang telah Allah SWT berikan kepadanya dengan menyempurnakan puasanya. Ibadah ini termasuk amal2 soleh yang paling utama, namun berapa banya orang yang terhalang dari puasa. Selain itu, ia juga bergembira dengan apa yang kembali dihalalkan Allah untuknya seperti makanan, minumam dan persetubuhan, mengingat hal2 tersebut sebelumnya diharamkan pada saat sedang berpuasa.

Kegembiraan kedua ialah kegembiraan ketika berjumpa dengan RabbNya dengan keredhaan dan kemurahanNya. Ia gembira dengan membawa pahala puasanya. Ketika dia mendapatkan pahalanya di sisi Allah SWT yang telah disediakan untuknya, ketika dikatakan kepadanya,

“Mana orang-orang yang berpuasa, hendaklah dia masuk surga dari pintu Ar-Royyan, yang hanya dimasuki oleh orang-orang yang berpuasa.”

Kegembiraan ketiga, kita juga dapat bergembira karena puasa mampu memberikan syafaat kepada pelakunya pada hari kiamat. Diriwayatkan dari ‘Abdullan bin ‘Amrradhiallaahu ‘anhuma, bahwasanya Nabi shalallahu ‘alaihi wasallam bersabda,

“Puasa dan al-Qur’an akan memberi syafa’at kepada seorang hamba pada Hari Kiamat. Puasa berkata, ‘Wahai Rabbku, aku telah menghalanginya dari makan dan syahwatnya di siang hari, maka izinkan aku memberi syafa’at kepadanya.’ Al-Qur`an berkata, ‘Aku telah menghalanginya dari tidur di malam hari, maka izinkan aku memberi syafa’at kepadanya.”

Kegembiraan keempat, kebahagiaan terhadap puasa sebagai kaffarat (pelebur) dosa-dosa. Nabi SAW pernah bersabda,

“Fitnah (kelalaian) seseorang pada keluarga, harta, anak, dan tetangganya dapat dilebur dengan shalat, puasa dan sedekah.”

And rugilah sapa2 yang tak reti nak berpuasa di bulan Ramadhan ni kan?

Takpe. Masih belum terlambat lagi. Need to speed up for the last 10 days. Jadikan puasa kita macam teh tarik, awalnya manis, akhirnya lagi manis. Bukan macam tebu. Awalnya sahaja yang manis tetapi tawar di hujung nya.

New Chapter of My Life

Assalamualaikum wbth.

I was away from the blogging world. 3 months on hiatus. Lot of things happened. Lot of things erased. Lot of things improved. And a new chapter begins. And all I can do is praying for everything comes along my way will always be good and great and kind to me :)

My life as a student in New Zealand is all done. I am no longer belong to that Aotearoa land. But all the memories and experiences gained throughout my 4 years will never be forgotten. And now, my new chapter begins. I need to think of what I should do next. We are planning and at the same time, He is planning with His love as well.

Today, I just received an email from the university with the title "Graduation Application Confirmed". Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. I will be back New Zealand! And this time around with all my family members. I'm still waiting for my mum's visa application to be processed by NZ Immigration Office in Singapore, and I just hope everything is fine, so that all of us can be there without any hassles.

And this Ramadhan is the first Ramadhan after 4 years with my family members. I am all blessed. After facing too many obstacles just to get back to my home country, I am finally here in Malaysia. Thanks to Him for giving me the chance to still have this feeling. The feeling of sitting and eating together with all family members in this barakah holy month. And tomorrow is the tenth day of fasting, and I am not yet have the chance to visit the nearest Bazar Ramadhan. Mum's cook is waaaaaayyyyy better than any other dishes there! Alhamdulillah :)

And I still have big things in mind, especially in September. And I need to have myself be sooo organized so that everything will be placed perfectly according to the plans. Ameen.

P/S : And meeting you eye-to-eye, face-to-face was just great. Thanks for waiting. Thanks for everything love :)

A year older, a year wiser

Mencapub sekali sekala ape salahnye kan? :P

I am now 24. Last 17th May 2011, marked another year, added to my young and sweet 23 number. Gosh. Being 24 is seriously giving me a different meaning. A totally different feeling from my previous birthdays. I am now a grown up woman. And I just cant believe that Im going to be in mid-20s group next year. Haha. People said that, having too much birthdays will give us wrinkles. Too good to be true huh?

It's not that being old that I wanna complain about. No. It's not that. Seriously. It's like, I still feel that I am my mother's sweet little girl (sweet ke? haha), who always go and seek for her every time I have things to talk and share about life. Haha. Im not in denial state la kawan2. Cume terasa cepat betul masa ni berlalu.

However, I am sooooooo grateful and blessed to be given so much nikmat in my life. A very loving supportive family who will always be there for me, no matter what happened, happens and will happen in the future. I am also pleased and thankful to God to give me bunch of friends that I can consider as bestmates, who will never leave me alone, if I were in my hard time. This is like my 4th time celebrating my birthday far away from my beloved family. But to celebrate it with good friends is also a great gift from God. And alhamdulillah, I have 3 consecutive meaningful days this May 2011. A very unexpected May for me, but still, I am blessed at 24 :)

Mothers Are Merciful

Happy Mother's Day to all beautiful mothers on each sides of the world. And a very special dedication to my dearest, one and only mother. I love you not because of this special day, but I love you for who you are to me, every single days till the end of time. I always wonder, how did you find energy to do all the things you did single-handedly, without a man called husband at your side. Being a teacher, a nurse, and a counselor to me and adik adik since the day we were born. How did you do it all, being a chauffeur, cook and friend, yet find time to be our best playmate. I just can't really understand. And one simple answer from you every time I asked was "Kakak akan faham one day bila kakak jadi ibu nanti". I am now a growing lady, but I'm not a mother, yet, but all I can see now is Love, that made you come whenever I'd call. Mother's love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible. Your inexhaustible love, I always thank you, for it all. I love you, but I know you love me even more. Selamat Hari Ibu Cek!

A human body can bear only upto 45 Del (unit) of pain.

But at the time of giving birth, a woman feels upto 57 Del of Pain.

This is similar to 20 bones getting fractured at a time!!!!

Anas ibn Malik said, “A woman came to ‘A’isha and ‘A’isha gave her three dates. She gave each of her two children a date and kept one date for herself. The children ate the two dates and then looked at their mother. She took her date and split in it two and gave each child half of it.

The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came and ‘A’isha told him about it. He said, ‘Are you surprised at that? Allah will show her mercy because of her mercy towards her child.’

Today I Dont Feel Like Doing Anything

*Last two days, I went up to the Sky Deck of Auckland's Sky Tower (my third times already), to accompany my friends did Sky Walking around the ring of Sky Tower. And being a photographer of the day, I went there without paying any cents. Seronok! :) Thank you korg!

I can see my apartment, my uni, albert park, skycity where we hangout watching movies together, auckland town hall, aotea square where we'll be graduating soon, queen street doing the shopping therapy, owh I will miss this place very much!

This is Auckland Harbour. Rangitoto Island at the back, one of the volcanic islands in NZ's North Island is the most recent and the largest (about 2311 hectares) of the approximately 50 volcanoes of the Auckland Volcanis Field.

While capturing this, I was imagining Japan's-like-tsunami hit NZ. And I believe all of these will be gone, forever. Oh Lord, please save New Zealand.

Dah lama tak update blog ni. The last entry was about earthquake in Christchurch and Japan, tapi terlupa pada Myanmar ( yg sebenarnya much closer to Malaysia ). Sama-sama kita berdoa agar tiada la bencana alam yang bakal menyusul, dan semoga mereka yang terlibat tetap dikurniakan kesabaran dan ketabahan. Hope there's atleast something that we can learn from the disasters.

Oklah. Nothing much to update pun. Just nak upload gambar sikit je. Yeke sikit? haha.

The next 2 days, I had another event to attend. It was Auckland International Cultural Day 2011 which was held at Mount Roskill War Memorial Park. Almost 120 stalls were there to promote their country's best of all. And there were like hundreds of performances live on stage termasuklah our Patendu Patende. haha. Tgklah gambar sikit2 kat bawah ni.

The last picture ni dessert from Finland. Yang ade raspberry jem tu nama dia RUNEBERG TART yang sedap gileeeeee! tak tipuuu..Beli satu je sebab takut tak sedap kan. Balik2 rumah, baru realized the ingredients of that tart adalah haram sama sekali. huuuu.

What's the fastest thing on earth?

Doctor : " An arrow"
Engineer : "A bullet"
Scientist : "Light. It travels 6 billion miles in one light year"

But a farmer answered
"PRAYER. It reaches God in heaven even before you can say it"

These days in 2011, too many natural disasters occured all around the world. Started with the earthquake in Christchurch, and then China, followed by the worst disasters in Japan ; earthquake, tsunami and the radiation risk from the earthquake-damaged nuclear reactors ( hope it wont turn into Chernobyl accident ). And another series of earthquake hit Vanuatu yesterday with the magnitude of 6.4

It seems like the mother nature is getting angry. And nothing much we can do to prevent all of this from happening because they were all because of humans' own action. My prayers goes to all of the victims, be it in Christchurch, China, Japan or Vanuatu or anywhere else on earth. Keep praying for the better life after all of this. Why? Because God knows it even when you're not saying it yet :)

Supporting The New Zealand Red Cross 2011 Earthquake Appeal, a team of proud Malaysians came out with an idea of fundraising. This Auckland Twestival 2011 is a multicultural fundraising for Christchurch with $7000 as the target of this event. And i'll be part of the event as well, doing nothing much, just performing Malaysian cultural dance on that night. Hehe.

6.3 comes after 7.1

Assalamualaikum. Peace be upon you.

In the name of the Most Merciful, the beautiful Christchurch has been devastated by an earthquake again today, 22nd February 2011 approximately at 12.51pm. with 6.3 magnitude. I was working at the convenience store while the owner of the shop switched on the TV. The news about this popped up and as shown, lots of people trapped inside the damaged building. And it is reported that the ground has not stop moving since the major earthquake this afternoon. And the last earthquake just occured 1 hr 20 minutes ago with 5.0 magnitude.

The death toll now rises to 65 and the number could double from the 65 confirmed. Last year's earthquakes' damages (7.1 magnitude) still have not been fully fixed, and now comes another one. And I understand that the damages today is even worse although the magnitude is smaller than before. The quake was not as powerful as the September 4 shake but was much shallower, leading to greater damage. Seeing the photos of Cathedral Square in such chaotic environment makes me feel sad. I've been there before. I was walking on that square, taking hundreds of photos, laughing with friends and now, it is not the same place again. Pretty sad. The September earthquake and this earthquake will have relieved the majority of stress in the regions in which they occurred, so another larger earthquake is unlikely. But we will never know. Kun Fayakun right?

Even a friend of mine here in Auckland could feel the shake while doing her housekeeping work today. Thank God I miss that experience. Hehe. Penakut saye ni sebenarnye. Nanti mesti cuak :P

Hari Kekasih. Bukan kekasihmu kekasihku jua. Tapi Hari Kekasih Allah, Muhammad SAW. Peace be upon Him. Say NO to Valentine's Day and definitely YES to Maulud Nabi kita. Being in this foreign land for 3 years, I never have such experience celebrating Maulidur Rasul. I cant recall any. Kalau tak baca news on the net, mungkin akan terlupa tentang Maulidur Rasul ni (hakikat dan realiti hidup). Kalau di Malaysia pastinya sudah dicanang2 dalam radio, TV, paper, ke segenap pelusuk negara. Muslim community here may be not celebrating Maulidur Rasul or maybe the celebration is held in the suburb areas which are not reachable or I dont have any knowledge about it at all? Maybe. I don't really know.

It's okaylah. No celebration doesnt mean we entirely forget right? Many other alternatives that can be done. Read the Quran, dzikr recital after praying, read something about it online, listen to ceramah about Maulidur Rasul online. Kan? kata info di hujung jari.

Neighbors Rattled by Egypt Shift

The resignation of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak Friday rattled regional allies and foes alike, threatening a decadeslong balance of power in the Mideast and putting Saudi Arabia and Israel, in particular, on the defensive.

In Jordan and Yemen, where protests against long-time, autocratic rulers have also broken out recently, Mr. Mubarak's departure could add new momentum to demonstrations. But observers said that because few opposition leaders in either place are calling for immediate change at the top, they don't expect those entrenched regimes to fall anytime soon.

Hezbollah, the Lebanese Shiite Muslim political and militant group, issued a statement of congratulations to Egypt. Mr. Mubarak has long battled to curb the influence of Hezbollah's key sponsor, Iran. Celebratory gunfire broke out in some neighborhoods of Lebanon's capital, Beirut. Cars honked their horns and people waved victory signs.

Iranian officials have been gloating over the turmoil in Egypt for weeks, comparing it to the Islamic revolution that toppled the shah more than 30 years ago. On Friday, Iran's national news agency IRNA ran headlines including "Egypt is Without a Pharaoh" and "The Great Victory of the Egyptian People."

"We congratulate the great nation of Egypt on this victory and we share their happiness," Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said in a statement on Friday.

In Amman, the capital of Jordan, and in the Palestinian West Bank, fireworks and honking horns also greeted the announcement. Palestinians in the Gaza Strip set off fireworks and shot firearms into the air to celebrate. Mr. Mubarak's regime is widely blamed there for cooperating with Israel to isolate the enclave since it came under the rule of the Islamist movement Hamas nearly five years ago.

In Tunisia, where the population ousted its authoritarian ruler last month, people gathered spontaneously in several cities to welcome Mr. Mubarak's downfall. In Tunis, the capital, hundreds of people massed in front of the municipal theatre as some climbed on streetlights to wave both Egyptian and Tunisian flags. "Down with all dictators," the crowd cheered.

Mr. Mubarak's regional allies reacted more coolly. Israel credits Mr. Mubarak with upholding an unpopular peace deal struck with the Jewish state in 1979, and has watched with alarm as Mr. Mubarak's hold on power loosened.

The Israeli prime minister's office withheld comment Friday. Voice of Israel radio quoted an unidentified official as saying it was too early to predict the outcome of Egypt's military-led transition.

"We hope that the change will occur without violence," the official said, and that Egypt will preserve the peace treaty with Israel.

Two hours after the announcement that Mr. Mubarak had resigned, Saudi Arabia's state news agency had posted a single, terse report quoting the statement of Egypt's vice president that Mr. Mubarak had stepped down.

Mr. Mubarak's departure represents a significant diplomatic setback for Riyadh. Egypt and Saudi Arabia has collaborated to counter what they see as growing Iranian influence in the region and also against al Qaeda.

"Saudi Arabia has lost a loyal ally today," said Madawi al-Rasheed, professor of social anthropology of Kings College, London.

The turmoil in Egypt comes at a particularly sensitive time for Saudi Arabia. King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al Saud is recuperating from a back operation in Morocco, while the country's crown prince has been absent for much of the past two years for medical treatment.

One big worry that has rattled oil markets is that the unrest that has toppled leaders in Tunisia and Egypt could spread to the region's big oil producers, including Saudi Arabia. Although Saudi Arabia has seen some sparks of discontent in recent weeks, analysts and diplomats consider the country far less vulnerable to unrest than many other Arab states.

In the United Arab Emirates, another strong U.S. ally and traditional friend of Mr. Mubarak, the state-run news agency reported the government had "confidence" in the ability of Egypt's armed forces "in running the country's affairs."

Qatar, a tiny but natural-gas-rich emirate often at loggerheads with both Saudi Arabia and Egypt, was more circumspect. In its official statement late Friday, Doha said it "expresses its respect for the will of the Egyptian people and their choices." Qatar has in recent years challenged both Cairo and Riyadh diplomatically, stepping in to broker deals in Arab conflicts as far flung as Sudan and Lebanon, long the terrain of the two bigger, U.S.-backed Arab powerhouses.

In Yemen, where opposition leaders have led tens of thousands in recent demonstrations against the long-time rule of President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the resignation of Mr. Mubarak could breathe new life into a halting protest movement there.

"What we witness today is an earthquake in the Arab political arena," said Mohammed Sabri, a spokesman for an opposition umbrella group.

"The unexpected just last month is reality today." Opposition leaders had recently tamped down their own protests, after Mr. Saleh made a number of political and economic concessions.

Jordan has also been convulsed by protests. In recent days, Jordan's King Abdullah II has barnstormed the country, meeting with tribal leaders and entering commoners' homes, relaying a message that he is in touch with his subjects' concerns.

Still, despite recent criticism of the King and his wife, the monarchy is relatively popular. The country's branch of the Muslim Brotherhood this week said it would give the king up to a year to work out electoral reform it has demanded.

Somehow, what he talked about was so relevant and really2 occurs in our Malay community right? The teenagers normally tend to use this kinda weird style or writing/txting. I used to be a teenager as well, but I cant recall any events, using those kinda crap 'eww eww' stuff. Malaysians are too creative I must say.

"Kalau begitu, mengapa tuan menahan diri daripada semua keseronokan tersebut?"

"Perumpamaannya beginilah. Saya pergi ke sebuah restoran mahal, ternama, terkenal dan sedap. Nafsu saya meronta-ronta hendak makan semua makanan di situ. Ada ikan besar, udang besar, sotong besar, semunya besar. Tapi malangnya saya tak mampu nak bayar."

"Maksudnya?"

Somehow I still can't accept the fact that now, today is 2011. I am no longer in 2010. My friends always remind me whenever I say 'next year' to refer to 2011. And in the middle of the conversation, we burst into big laugh. How time flies. Things happened last year and few years back will never happen again. And there's more to come in the future I believe.

But right now, I have only one thing in mind.
What if thousands of Kiwis come with an idea : a protest should be held against John Key, like what is currently rocking Egypt. SCARY man!

New Zealand's the safest country in the world to live in. I trust that fact. InsyaALLAH.

Tomorrow is CNY in Malaysia. Holiday time laa kan..But here in Auckland, people dont really celebrate CNY till mid of Feb I guess. Still have class to attend tomorrow morning T_T

We can never live in this world on our own, because we need them, to make every single moments we have are worth to live for.

When you eat sandwich, appreciate every last bite, because we never have a chance to taste the same again. I believe it will never taste the same, even though it is made by the same person. Senang, bahagia, suka cita, sedih, kecewa dan duka cita adalah sesuatu yang biasa dialami manusia. KITA, ketika mendapatkan sesuatu yang menggembirakan dari kesenangan-kesenangan duniawi maka kita akan senang dan gembira. Sebaliknya ketika tidak mendapatkan apa yang kita inginkan maka kita sedih dan kecewa bahkan kadang-kadang sampai putus asa.

hmmmmm...

Akan tetapi sebenarnya bagi seorang mukmin, semua perkara adalah "baik".

Hal ini diterangkan oleh Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam:

عَجَبًا لِأَمْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِ إِنَّ أَمْرَهُ كُلَّهُ خَيْرٌ وَلَيْسَ ذَاكَ لِأَحَدٍ إِلاَّ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ إِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ سَرَّاءُ شَكَرَ فَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُ وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ ضَرَّاءُ صَبَرَ فَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُ

“Sungguh menakjubkan orang mukmin. Sesungguhnya semua perkaranya adalah baik dan tidaklah hal ini dimiliki oleh seorangpun kecuali oleh orang mukmin. Jika dia diberi kenikmatan/kesenangan, dia bersyukur maka jadilah ini sebagai kebaikan baginya. Sebaliknya jika dia ditimpa musibah (sesuatu yang tidak menyenangkan), dia bersabar, maka ini juga menjadi kebaikan baginya.” (HR. Muslim)

Kalau kita merasakan betapa sulitnya menjalani hidup ini, maka ingatlah sabda Rasulullah saw:

“Tiada suatu amalan pun yang mendekatkan ke surga kecuali aku telah perintahkan kalian dengannya dan tiada suatu amalan pun yang mendekatkan ke neraka kecuali aku telah larang kalian darinya. Sungguh salah seorang di antara kalian tidak akan lambat REZEKINYA. Sesungguhnya Jibril telah menyampaikan pada hatiku bahwa salah seorang dari kalian tidak akan keluar dari dunia (meninggal dunia) sampai disempurnakan REZEKINYA. Maka bertakwalah kepada Allah wahai manusia dan perbaguslah dalam mencari REZEKI. Maka apabila salah seorang di antara kalian merasa/menganggap bahwa REZEKINYAnya lambat maka janganlah mencarinya dengan bermaksiat kepada Allah karena sesungguhnya keutamaan/karunia Allah tidak akan didapat dengan maksiat.” (Shahih, HR. Al-Hakim dari Ibnu Mas’ud radhiyallahu ‘anhu)..

"Allah tidak membebani seseorang melainkan sesuai dengan kesanggupannya"

"Ya Tuhan kami, janganlah Engkau hukum kami jika kami lupa atau kami tersalah. Ya Tuhan kami, janganlah Engkau bebankan kepada kami beban yang berat sebagaimana Engkau bebabkan kepada org-org sebelum kami. Ya Tuhan kami, janganlah Engkau pikulkan kpd kami apa yg tidak sanggup kami memikulnya. Maafkanlah kami, ampunilah kami, dan rahmatilah kami"

Rasulullah juga ajar kita baca doa ini untuk hilangkan kesedihan..jom baca..

“Ya Allah, sesungguhnya aku berlindung kepada-Mu dari gundah gulana, sedih, lemah, malas, kikir, penakut, terlilit hutang dan dari tekanan/penindasan orang lain.”

It is now September 2010. I've been on hiatus for such a loooooooooooonnnngggggg timeeee.
If Im pregnant, I should have a baby by now :P I want a baby boy.. LOL ..
Sorry for my disappearance in this blogging life.
For those who asked via ym or fb msg, sorry for being in this MIA.. :P
Im not doing that on purpose.. maybe 2010 is a super busy year for me. heee.
Too many things to be done. I need to cope with everything especially when I got back from my UK trip. And I admit, too many things happened and happens in my life. My current life. Provided it was/is good or bad, I want to cherish them all :)

UK TRIP was all goooooooood. Meeting up with few friends for the first time was great! At least I got the chance to know them all in person. From London, we went to Paris for 3 days. Thanks to Nizam for being such a good tour guide for these cute triplets. haha. Manchester was memorable enough for me even though we went there just for a day return trip. So many things happened but we survived all those major problems in Paris and UK. I miss UK so much. Like seriously.

SUMMER 2009 was the best summer ever in my life. Too many new places had been explored with friends (Fruit picking, horse-riding, snorkelling, beaches and partayyyy) and I was granted with new cycle of friends. Alhamdulillah. Syukran :) Hope for the best summer again this year!

SEMESTER ONE of third year was sooooooo hectic. With 4 killer papers that I had to go through, might be a good reason for me to escape myself from blogging activity. No more blog hopping since then. Such an impact on me huh?

EASTER 2010 A short yet the most memorable one, and cost-effective I must say. Gold Coast and Brisbane. A new place to discover. A new adventurous town to be excited for with couple of my friends. I broke my DSLR here in Gold Coast. But Im okay with it I guess. Nevertheless, Im so thankful for the whole journey :)

WINTER 2010 in July was great tho! A memorable road trip with my new love CANON EOS 500D, from Auckland to New Plymouth to Wellington. And the journey continued to the down part of New Zealand, from Christchurch to Fox Glacier to Wanaka and Queenstown. I just finished uploaded the final part of our winter road trip photos on facebook. And owh, Im quitting my job as a cleaner. (announcement la plak kan). haha.

And SPRING BREAK of 2010 is on! And I'm now in Malaysia. Such a sudden decision, to come back to Malaysia just for two weeks break. But yeah. Im here. Im all yours dear familia! :)

Two died in freak shopping mall accident.

KOTA BHARU : Two shoppers were killed after a driver lost control of her car on an upstairs open air parking of a mall, slamming the vehicle into a retaining wall before plunging down three stories.

Another shopper was seriously injured in the freak accident that occurred at 4.45pm when the mall in Jalan Hamzah was packed with weekend patrons.

Nurain Said, who was in the car when it plunged down, miraculously survived the 54-metre fall.

The dead have been identified as trainee nurses Siti Nuramira Shamsuddin, 19, and Siti Nurdiana Azman, 18, from a local college, both of whom died on the spot after being hit by falling debris.

Both Rashidah Ahmad Latif, 18, and Nurain have been admitted to the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital with head injuries.

District OCPD ACP Zahruddin Abdullah said the original driver of the car - identified only as Sabri - had earlier gotten out of the car, which had stalled at the parking area.

ACP Zahruddin said Sabri then told his 17-year-old sister Nurain to get behind the wheel while he pushed the car in an attempt to jumpstart the engine. While Sabri was pushing the car, the engine suddenly came to life, causing the car to lunge forward and smash into the retaining wall, which also served as the building’s ventilation airway.

He said Siti Nuramira, who was on the second floor of the building, and Siti Nurdiana, standing on the ground close to the escalator, could have died after being crushed by concrete debris.

“We are looking for Sabri and another woman identified as Nurul Atikah to assist police in their investigations for reckless driving,” he said.

A witness Hazura Ariffin, 25, said she heard a loud bang that shook the building.

“I thought it was an earthquake at first. I was shocked to see the wrecked car lying in the middle of the mall between the escalators,” she said.

Police had since cordoned off the building and advised all patrons to vacate the building to avoid further casualties.

Crowds waiting outside the mall attracted the curiousity of motorists, causing serious traffic jam along the road. Traffic only resumed to normal two hours later.

I was there in KB Mall yesterday, at that specified time, since the PC Fair was on starting the last Thursday. I was jumping off the same escalator, right in front of Levi's store, with all my sisters and my mum. We were there, having dinner after doing some shopping routines!!

What if the accident happened one day earlier? Me and my family members might be the one who will be crushed by the car, or the concrete debris!

Landed in KL on Saturday's afternoon, then we were heading to KLCC to meet Syaq, Syed and Erwan for late lunch date. Thanks Syed for the treat! Thanks Syaq for bringing the honey all the way from Auckland. Then, I slept over in UM, at my sister's place.

9 pm the next day, we were heading back to Kota Bharu by bus. Arrived at 6.00 in the morning, then on the way back home by taxi (my mum could not fetch me because of flood), we stuck in the middle of the journey. Due to this :

6.30 in the morning

7.15 am, SPM candidates were waiting for the JPA boat to get to the school.

The last resort, my mum and sisters came to fetch me. They walked from our home, 1 km to where I was stucked at. And then the journey began, at 8.30 am.

Lepas bersengkang mata satu malam, akhirnya proses packing mempacking and vacant the room siap pada pukul 10.30 pagi. Tido sekejap sebab dah pening gile kepala. Tengok bilik kosong pun tak dapat nak hilangkan sakit kepala. Bangun balik pukul 11.30, siap2 untuk gerak ke airport. By 12.30pm, kumpul kat Quest on Mount dgn Amnie, sbb dah janji dgn mereka2 yang nak menghantar kitorg ke airport. Tunggu sampai 12.45pm, van yang ditunggu2 tak jugak kunjung tiba. Rupa2nya van yang ditunggu2 dah kene tow sebab salah masuk parking lot. Sbb masa dah agak crucial mase tu, kitorg try la nak check online tp Air New Zealand takde plak online check-in service. Tapi alhamdulillah, tiba2 ada sorg stranger yg tgh berteduh kat Quest on Mount tu (time tu hujan lebat) ade cab nyer phone number. So, finally kitorg naik cab ke airport. Mahal pun mahal la, janji sampai. Terus check in. And i had to pay like 70nzd for excess baggage. Hahaha. bawak barang tak ingt dunia. macam ni lah jadinya. Naseb baek bantal faveret tak dibawak balik ;p And tak disangka sangka, flight to melb delayed la plak. 1530 jadi 1700. haish. kematu duduk kat airport lame2. tp yg bestnyer Air New Zealand bagi 12dolar voucher as a refreshment due to the delayed problem. bagus kan? tak pasal2 dapat makan2 free jek kt airport tuh. alhamdulillah.

Dalam flight to Melbourne, tgk movie The Time Traveller's Wife. Cerita ni org kate best, (walaupun kat NZ belum keluar lagi) tp sebab penat tak habis lagi, memang tertido2 tgk movie tuh. Tak tawu dah jalan cerita die camane. Sedar2 jek dah bleh makan. Thank God Vege meal die sedap dan mampu ditelan. Alhamdulillah.

Sampai2 je kat Melbourne, kitorg terus gi claim our baggage. Lepas tu, we were heading to the oversized item nyer tempat sbb nak amek my keyboard. Tunggu punye tunggu tak kuar2 jgk. Rupnyer2 my keyboard tu kene claim kat normal nyer tempat. Haish. Penat jek tunggu kat oversized item nyer tempat. Pastu, my friend Amnie ade problem plak kat custom. Her 10 boxes of strawberries tak lepas custom. "You can not bring any fresh fruits into Australia" kata Lidija. Kitorg dah buat muka toya + kesian dah time tuh. Last2 Lidija panggil her supervisor and with his permission, he could let go of Amnie's strawberries with condition ; they will keep the strawberries for free and give back to Amnie once we wanna go to custom for our next flight.

19 NOV 2009

Lepas dah bosan2 lepak2 kat Melbourne Airport, terus gi check in for the next flight : to KL. Kitorg terpaksa masuk awal sebab at that time, we have to be escorted to the custom by Lidija. Lidija waited for us till we passed the custom just to make sure the strawberries were out of the country. haha. cacat btol lah! Then we went to Gate 6. Tunggu kat situ sejam lebih. Pastu 10 minutes before boarding kitorg baru dapat tawu yang boarding gate dah ditukar ke gate 10. Patutla tak ramai org tunggu kat Gate 6 tuh. And we were wondering why we did not know about the changing of the boarding gate. Nak kata ade announcement, takde la plak. Last2 kitorg rushing la ke gate 10 tuh. Terus boarding. Terus seated. Pakai safety belt. Then i just realized i left my handphone at the gate bile crew buat announcement suruh switch off the phone. OMG! Dah gelabah gile dah time tu sbb sume passengers dah seated. Nak taknak try la tanya crew bleh tak kluar lagi ke gate. Naseb baek dapat kluar. Lari selaju mungkin ke gate 6, the original borading gate and selaju mungkin gak lari balik masuk flight. fuhhh..memang semput gile la. Alhamdulillah handphone tu still ade kat gate 6 tuh.

Habes bab handphone. Lepas tuh, kene deal plak ngan seorg pakcik yang sangat peramah! Australian citizen yang nak ke Malaysia for business purposes. Banyak sgt cakap. Macam2 die cerita and die tanya. Borak macam2 dari sekecik2 perkara like make up and fashion sampai la bab2 agama. And bile masuk bab agama nih dah kene hati2 sikit lah sbb dapat sense pakcik ni tahu banyak pasal Islam. And yang paling crucial bile die try condemn pasal Syariah Law that has been practiced in Malaysia. Tapi tgh2 borak tuh sempat gak tertido sekejap2. hahaha. penat wehh~~

And finally, safely arrived KL at 6.30 am. But ade problem kat tempat claim baggage. almost sejam baru dapat kluar. Bukan la problem sgt pon. just tunggu my keyboard tak kluar2. sampai la the last round of baggage pun tak nampak2 beg keyboard tu. pastu tibe2 amnie spotted something familiar on the floor. Rupenye2 ade org dah turunkan beg keyboard tu awal2. padanla penat menunggu tak jugak nampak kelibat beg keyboard tuh. haish. banyak nyer dugaan dalam trip kali nih. Sabar je la.

Pastu kluar from the arrival gate pkul 7.30 pagi. and bleh nampak kelibat my BFF tgh menunggu dengan muke toye di pagi hari. Hahahha. (Sorry la Zul, tak berniat nak lambat2 kluar. Thanks sbb datang lagi airport tahun ni. Muchos gracias!)

And the next flight to Kota Bharu pkul 10.25am. Hilang lagi another RM45 sebab excess baggage masa check in. ahhahah. habes duit cam tu jek. haish. So, pkul 11.30am, safely landed on Sultan Ismail Petra Airport. Alhamdulillah.

Finally!! I'm free!! It feels soooooooo damn good~~~ eventhough I didn't have enough time to finish my last paper. 3 hours flew away just like that and I still couldn't finish all the questions in time. I lost 8 marks already. T_T

I'm the second last person in the house who finished the exam. Chikorn went back home on 7th, when my first paper haven't started yet. Syaq and Ismas finished their papers last week. And today, I'm done with mine. And it's a blessful Saturday for me. And my beloved housemate, Tikah darling, be strong and keep on going, you'll be free next Monday, trust me! ;p

I hope everything's gonna be just fine. I hope I get what I pray for. Please Lord, dont fail me. I beg You.

And tonight, I got nothing to do after cooking. I accompanied Syaq having her late dinner in the living room, since she just came back from work. She switched on the TV and owh, there was a football match on screen. It was New Zealand VS Bahrain, live from Wellington. I never know that, that was the World Cup Qualifier until the half time break, when the All Whites led the game at that time. And yes, next year New Zealand will be in the World Cup for like 27 years after the previous entrance. Rory Fallon, the All Whites striker and goalscorer wasn't alone with his heroics of this 1-nil win. The Kiwi keeper, Mark Paston are the tonight hero! He played well when he saved the crucial penalty during the second half. Bertambah la senarai team nak kene support kalau macam ni. Nafsu tgk live football match takde sgt since in New Zealand. Maklum lah, rumah takde Astro. Eh, rumah takde SkyTV lah katakan. Huhu.

Congratulations and goodluck ALL WHITES! Will definitely give 100% support to you guys. Nak support Malaysia entah bila la dapat masuk kan. hehehe.

Assalamualaikum wbth.

5th November 2009, my long awaited movie is hitting the theater in Auckland. I've been waiting for the movie to be screened since it was first released in US and UK last June. Yes, New Zealand is a bit latter when it comes to movie screening. Even Malaysia is better in terms of this.

This movie is based on the book "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult, my favourite author of all time. I read 2 novels of hers before. And for this one, I haven't finish my reading yet, cause I left it back home T_T but I do know that the ending of this movie will not be the same as the novel. Might be disappointment a bit but like Picoult said, that's the beauty of a novel. If the screen adaptation isn’t what you remember, you can always go back and reread it! Last year in May, she came to NZ and had a session with her fans at one of the Grammar School in Auckland (can't recall which school), but I didn't manage to catch her up. Bit frustated but perhaps, there will be next time.

Picoult loves to write about family, relationship and love, especially the love between mother and child. So provocative and complex and inspiring at the same time. That's why I love her writing, cause she delivers different horizon in viewing life. She generates ideas from researches and let the readers be blown away with suspense and intense. And I would expect the blend of medicine, law and love from this movie, like what I saw in Change of Heart. And siblinghood as well! Can't wait for her next dramatic page turner about embryo donation and gay rights in America, all together with the songs compilation for that novel!!

OK. Anda sudah membuang masa selama sejam. Sila kembali menjadi budak nerd. Kena exam dulu baru bleh turun Sky City layan movie yer.

Seeing Muslim brothers/sisters enjoying their life in overseas, meeting new people, gaining new experiences is totally AWESOME!

But seeing them holding cans or bottles of alcoholic drinks and eating food that are not accepted in our religion is not great at all!

I'm trying not to judging people. Cause I'm no good either, but at least still aware of the limitations and principles in life as a Muslim.

“O ye who believe! Eat of the good things wherewith We have provided you, and render thanks to Allah if it is (indeed) He whom ye worship” (2:172).

“And eat not of that whereon Allah's name hath not been mentioned, for lo! it is abomination. Lo! the devils do inspire their minions to dispute with you. But if ye obey them, ye will be in truth idolaters” (6:121).

In an incident narrated by Rafi' bin Khadij, the Prophet told Muslims who wanted to slaughter some animals using reeds, “Use whatever causes blood to flow, and eat the animals if the Name of Allah has been mentioned on slaughtering them...” (Bukhari).

Jangan pandang mudah sesuatu yang menjadi darah daging kerana ia akan selamanya mengalir di dalam diri serta keturunan, selagi hayat dikandung badan, selagi belum masanya bertemu Yang Esa.

HOW I CAME TO ISLAM - by YUSUF ISLAM

All I have to say is all what you know already, to confirm what you already know, the message of the Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) as given by God - the Religion of Truth. As human beings we are given a consciousness and a duty that has placed us at the top of creation. Man is created to be God's deputy on earth, and it is important to realize the obligation to rid ourselves of all illusions and to make our lives a preparation for the next life. Anybody who misses this chance is not likely to be given another, to be brought back again and again, because it says in Qur'an Majeed that when man is brought to account, he will say, "O Lord, send us back and give us another chance." The Lord will say, "If I send you back you will do the same."

MY EARLY RELIGIOUS UPBRINGING

I was brought up in the modern world of all the luxury and the high life of show business. I was born in a Christian home, but we know that every child is born in his original nature - it is only his parents that turn him to this or that religion. I was given this religion (Christianity) and thought this way. I was taught that God exists, but there was no direct contact with God, so we had to make contact with Him through Jesus - he was in fact the door to God. This was more or less accepted by me, but I did not swallow it all.

I looked at some of the statues of Jesus; they were just stones with no life. And when they said that God is three, I was puzzled even more but could not argue. I more or less believed it, because I had to have respect for the faith of my parents.

POP STAR

Gradually I became alienated from this religious upbringing. I started making music. I wanted to be a big star. All those things I saw in the films and on the media took hold of me, and perhaps I thought this was my God, the goal of making money. I had an uncle who had a beautiful car. "Well," I said, "he has it made. He has a lot of money." The people around me influenced me to think that this was it; this world was their God.

I decided then that this was the life for me; to make a lot of money, have a 'great life.' Now my examples were the pop stars. I started making songs, but deep down I had a feeling for humanity, a feeling that if I became rich I would help the needy. (It says in the Qur'an, we make a promise, but when we make something, we want to hold onto it and become greedy.)

So what happened was that I became very famous. I was still a teenager, my name and photo were splashed in all the media. They made me larger than life, so I wanted to live larger than life and the only way to do that was to be intoxicated (with liquor and drugs).

IN HOSPITAL

After a year of financial success and 'high' living, I became very ill, contracted TB and had to be hospitalized. It was then that I started to think: What was to happen to me? Was I just a body, and my goal in life was merely to satisfy this body? I realized now that this calamity was a blessing given to me by Allah, a chance to open my eyes - "Why am I here? Why am I in bed?" - and I started looking for some of the answers. At that time there was great interest in the Eastern mysticism. I began reading, and the first thing I began to become aware of was death, and that the soul moves on; it does not stop. I felt I was taking the road to bliss and high accomplishment. I started meditating and even became a vegetarian. I now believed in 'peace and flower power,' and this was the general trend. But what I did believe in particular was that I was not just a body. This awareness came to me at the hospital.

One day when I was walking and I was caught in the rain, I began running to the shelter and then I realized, 'Wait a minute, my body is getting wet, my body is telling me I am getting wet.' This made me think of a saying that the body is like a donkey, and it has to be trained where it has to go. Otherwise, the donkey will lead you where it wants to go.

Then I realized I had a will, a God-given gift: follow the will of God. I was fascinated by the new terminology I was learning in the Eastern religion. By now I was fed up with Christianity. I started making music again and this time I started reflecting my own thoughts. I remember the lyric of one of my songs. It goes like this: "I wish I knew, I wish I knew what makes the Heaven, what makes the Hell. Do I get to know You in my bed or some dusty cell while others reach the big hotel?" and I knew I was on the Path.

I also wrote another song, "The Way to Find God Out." I became even more famous in the world of music. I really had a difficult time because I was getting rich and famous, and at the same time, I was sincerely searching for the Truth. Then I came to a stage where I decided that Buddhism is all right and noble, but I was not ready to leave the world. I was too attached to the world and was not prepared to become a monk and to isolate myself from society.

I tried Zen and Ching, numerology, tarot cards and astrology. I tried to look back into the Bible and could not find anything. At this time I did not know anything about Islam, and then, what I regarded as a miracle occurred. My brother had visited the mosque in Jerusalem and was greatly impressed that while on the one hand it throbbed with life (unlike the churches and synagogues which were empty), on the other hand, an atmosphere of peace and tranquility prevailed

THE AL QURAN

When he came to London he brought back a translation of the Qur'an, which he gave to me. He did not become a Muslim, but he felt something in this religion, and thought I might find something in it also.

And when I received the book, a guidance that would explain everything to me - who I was; what was the purpose of life; what was the reality and what would be the reality; and where I came from - I realized that this was the true religion; religion not in the sense the West understands it, not the type for only your old age. In the West, whoever wishes to embrace a religion and make it his only way of life is deemed a fanatic. I was not a fanatic, I was at first confused between the body and the soul. Then I realized that the body and soul are not apart and you don't have to go to the mountain to be religious. We must follow the will of God. Then we can rise higher than the angels. The first thing I wanted to do now was to be a Muslim.

I realized that everything belongs to God, that slumber does not overtake Him. He created everything. At this point I began to lose the pride in me, because hereto I had thought the reason I was here was because of my own greatness. But I realized that I did not create myself, and the whole purpose of my being here was to submit to the teaching that has been perfected by the religion we know as Al-Islam. At this point I started discovering my faith. I felt I was a Muslim. On reading the Qur'an, I now realized that all the Prophets sent by God brought the same message. Why then were the Jews and Christians different? I know now how the Jews did not accept Jesus as the Messiah and that they had changed His Word. Even the Christians misunderstand God's Word and called Jesus the son of God. Everything made so much sense. This is the beauty of the Qur'an; it asks you to reflect and reason, and not to worship the sun or moon but the One Who has created everything. The Qur'an asks man to reflect upon the sun and moon and God's creation in general. Do you realize how different the sun is from the moon? They are at varying distances from the earth, yet appear the same size to us; at times one seems to overlap the other.

Even when many of the astronauts go to space, they see the insignificant size of the earth and vastness of space. They become very religious, because they have seen the Signs of Allah.

When I read the Qur'an further, it talked about prayer, kindness and charity. I was not a Muslim yet, but I felt that the only answer for me was the Qur'an, and God had sent it to me, and I kept it a secret. But the Qur'an also speaks on different levels.

Thus at this point I wished to meet my Muslim brothers.

CONVERSION

Then I decided to journey to Jerusalem (as my brother had done). At Jerusalem, I went to the mosque and sat down. A man asked me what I wanted. I told him I was a Muslim. He asked what was my name. I told him, "Stevens." He was confused. I then joined the prayer, though not so successfully. Back in London, I met a sister called Nafisa. I told her I wanted to embrace Islam and she directed me to the New Regent Mosque. This was in 1977, about one and a half years after I received the Qur'an. Now I realized that I must get rid of my pride, get rid of Iblis, and face one direction. So on a Friday, after Jummah' I went to the Imam and declared my faith (the Kalimah) at this hands. You have before you someone who had achieved fame and fortune. But guidance was something that eluded me, no matter how hard I tried, until I was shown the Qur'an. Now I realize I can get in direct contact with God, unlike Christianity or any other religion. As one Hindu lady told me, "You don't understand the Hindus. We believe in one God; we use these objects (idols) to merely concentrate." What she was saying was that in order to reach God, one has to create associates, that are idols for the purpose. But Islam removes all these barriers. The only thing that moves the believers from the disbelievers is the salat. This is the process of purification.

Finally I wish to say that everything I do is for the pleasure of Allah and pray that you gain some inspirations from my experiences. Furthermore, I would like to stress that I did not come into contact with any Muslim before I embraced Islam. I read the Qur'an first and realized that no person is perfect. Islam is perfect, and if we imitate the conduct of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) we will be successful. May Allah give us guidance to follow the path of the ummah of Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). Ameen!

Touching Yet Inspiring~

I just wanna share something with all of you.

Are you swimming upstream in oceans of blue?
Do you feel like you're sinking?
Get back up when you fall down. It's the finish line that matter the most. Cause when you're in your darkest hour, and all of the light just fades away, when you're like a single flower whose colors have turned to shades of grey, well, just hang on and be strong. 100 times we may fall, do not give up. Keep trying and God-willing, we will be able to stand up again.

Hye. been a while since my last update. erm..not really. hahaha. So,let's start a new day with blogging. Okay, this is so lame Aida. It's now 6 o clock in the morning. I just finished everything with Subuh prayer and stuff, feeling like working on my assignments but yeah, blogging first. LOL!

Yesterday was my raya again. Raya 6. So, as I said before, will upload the Raya photos right after finishing my puasa enam. So, about my second year of Raya in Auckland, New Zealand, what can I say about it huh?? I was not really excited to celebrate Eid this year. Hahaha. First and for most, because Eid was supposed to be on Sunday, which means we did not have to go to class since it's weekend (that was what we thought, but ALLAH is the greatest planner aite?), Eid in New Zealand was on Monday, one day later than Malaysia. So, the excitement we had before was gone! hahahaa.

But after all, Raya 2009 was GREAT,AWESOME, MEMORABLE one, minus things you dont wanna keep in your memory box of course. And proudly to say, tepon mak dah tak nanges tahun ni!!! hehehehe. Cause I called on first day of Raya in Malaysia, which i was still fasting. Takde rase sedih tuh la kot. hahahhaa. takpe2. still tougher than before. :D

Went out last night for (500) Days of Summer movie retreat with Syaq, Laila and Erwan. What I can say bout that movie ; it's not like any typical movies on screen, unique storyline and hell full of messages (for me at least).

I dunno why but while watching that movie last night, I can see the reflection of myself in Tom and Summer. Both of them. Yes, both.

All in all, life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it is all about learning to dance in the rain. Then without realizing it, we try to improve ourselves at the start of each new days,and of course we'll achieve quite a lot in the course of time. Anyone can do this i think cause it costs you nothing. And certainly is very helpful. Whoever does not know, she/he must learn and find by experience that a quiet conscience makes one strong.

The basic thing ever, everyone wants happiness, no one wants suffering. I want happiness in my life. And I bet you want that too! Am I right? ;)
And happiness mainly comes from our own attitude, rather than external factors. If our own mental attitude is correct, even if we remain in a hostile atmosphere, we'll be happy. This reminds me of a famous quotation ;

When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.

I love that movie.

Assalamualaikum wbth..

3 hari lepas, Samoa and American Samoa dilanda tsunami kesan dari earthquake. Ramai yang tanya, tak terasa gegar ke duduk apartment tinggi2 kat New Zealand ni. Yela, Samoa kan sebelah je dgn New Zealand ni. Adik beradik laen bapak same mak kan. Tapi time tu pukul 6 pagi kat sini, tak terasa ape2 la..sebab sedang enak diulit mimpi. hahaha. yer. tido mati seperti biasa. Terus New Zealand dapat tsunami warning. Auckland was suspected to be hit by tsunami at 11.30am. Risau jugak. Auckland ni da la tepi laut, secocok ngan name die City of Sails. Tapi alhamdulillah, nothing happened. Syukur sangat.

Then, disusuli pulak dengan earthquake kat Padang,Indonesia. Sampai bergegar habis satu Malaysia yg mengaku jiran kepada Indonesia. Habis status ym ngan facebook member2 kat Malaysia jadi same. Sume cite pasal gegaran. Sume dah risau kot2 gelombang tsunami kedua nak datang melawat Malaysia. Macam2 andaian dikeluarkan. huhu. Tapi alhamdulillah, nothing happened. Syukur sangat.

Hari ini plak, New Zealand dilanda unseasonal weather. Sejuk teramat pada ketika bunga sedang berkembang mekar di taman. Tgk facebook, ade yg duk dalam sleeping bag, ade yg berselimut, ade yang selongkar glove la..hehehe..(oppss, sorry ateen). Semalam elok je panas. Minggu lepas gi kelas dah tak payah bersweater dah. Panas takde la panas mane tapi ade la dalam 12 degree. Hari ini suhu turun dgn mendadak. ke paras yg agak rendah. Sume org menjadi lapar dgn cepatnye hari ini. Sume org mengeluarkan heater yg dah pun dimasukkan ke dalam kotak, disimpan elok2. haha. takdela sume org, tuan blog ni jer. hehehe.Im wondering why. Bukak2 NZ HERALD, baru la mengerti mengapakah Auckland sgt sejuk hari ini.

When I was in uni, specifically at the basement computer lab, dealing with oh-i-heart-you-MATLAB for my MATHS 363 assignment, my handphone in my pocket suddenly vibrated vigorously. A text from Dya actually.

"Salam, aida nk ikut p domain arini? kul 215, naik kete. Ktorg nk p amek gambar"

Owh. Excited sgt since i've planned to go there to take some photos this coming Saturday!

I missed my Financial Maths class at 9am today.

The parcel i sent to my family in Malaysia has finally reached the destination. Yeay, my biskut raya dah sampai. "Mipi gapo sapa ata duo bekah sekuk rayo ko Malaysia?" tanya my mum. Hikhik. Saje je nk gedik. kunun2 sweet la kan. haha. Selamat makan yea! And now im still waiting for my RAYA parcel. Cepat la cepat la. Lama dah tunggu nih.

Tomorrow my sister will go home for Raya holiday. I bought her flight ticket from KL to KB, and ironically the ticket buyer can not go home. This is SO UNFAIR! And my BFF in Aussie is going back for RAYA on this Thursday! UNFAIR lagi! And what m i gotta do here? Daftar nama nak gi solat hari raya dgn UmnoNZ. huhu. sadis sadis.

It's now 3.28am. Still awake. Coz assignment blom siap. haha. sape suruh buat last minute. PADAN MUKA. in 30 minutes time, the kitchen will be 'riuh rendah' for those who wanna cook for sahur. and me? u're still in blogosphere? T_T

Cuti musim bunga berakhir~

Assalamualaikum.

Minggu lepas, 4 hari berturut-turut pergi keje. Rabu, Khamis, Jumaat, Ahad. Sisa sisa cuti musim bunga memang betul2 dimanfaatkan bekerja (isk3, stadi nyer tidak). Bangun pagi jek, siap2 pergi keje. Malam plak lepas terawih, siap2 pergi keje lagi. Fuh. Penat tak payah cakaplah. Walau setinggi mana stamina seseorang itu (ye, Aida mmg stamina tinggi pon sebenarnya, haha) tapi terpaksa mengakulah keletihan dan kelesuan diri. Ye, dah pancit dah. tapi takde la rase nak demam macam Tikah. hahaha. =p

Sepanjang keje jd cleaner ni, mcm2 ragam orang dah jumpa. Yang murah senyuman, yang polite, yang kerek, yang handsome, yang tak tawu malu pun ada. Slamber badak jek jalan melenggang2 dengan boxer kartun yg ketat dan tuala semata. Oh, pemandangan yang takde kat Malaysia. Terpaksa la cakap, " Can u give me couple of minutes? I'll finish everything in 15 minutes". Yela, takkan nak berdua-duaan dalam toilet dgn lelaki Caucasian berboxer ketat kan. Macam gerun jek. Tapi yang paling tak boleh blah bila ade sorg pakcik tua ni, mmg suka btol bertenggek kat toilet bile kitorg keje. Time tu la nak shave, time tu jugakla nak mandi. Tension btol. Siap cakap lagi, "U can come in if u dont mind seeing my sexy body" with such an annoying voice. Pastu gelak gatal.

Hadoi, kitorg terus blah gi female toilet kt sebelah, pastu sakan kontrol gelak sampai sakit perut. Lagi best bile dgr statement Tikah, "Tokwan aku lagi 'panas' dari die weh". hahahadoi. Sabar jek la. Pakcik tuh mmg dah masuk org yg disenaraihitamkan dah sbnrnyer, SEBAB last semester, he made fool of me while we had a conversation in the laundry room, just because im wearing a headscarf. So, mmg dah nekad takkan ade any conversation ngan die dah in the future. alih2, die cakap macam tu plak last week. haha. mmg masuk list BLACKFOREST terus lah camni.

Mmg penat and tension berdepan org macam tuh, tapi bile employer datang rumah bagi gaji, terus lupa. hahahaha. =p

Anyway, hari ni cuti musim bunga dah abis secara rasminya. Start arini, dah kene bangun pagi and pergi sekolah. Oh, sungguh hambar! Bukak je sekolah hari ini, dah ade mid semester test. Assignment due plak dah lusa. huu. Penat sungguh rase. Takpe2, yg penting, penat belajar lagi best dan nikmat dari penat bekerja jadi tukang cuci ni. Okla, enough rambling for tonight. Got morning class tmrw. So, need to bed myself now. Goodnight!

2 days left before i start schooling again. I plan to do so much things at the beginning of the holiday. But now, since the holiday will reach its finish line, i think i've done nothing. huhu. selalu macam ni. benci btul. And this coming Monday, i have stats mid sem test, which i have not finished my revision yet. haha. 2 weeks of holidays pun tak abes lagi study. ape nak jadi la nih. isk2.

But atleast I have something to share with you, what had happened in Auckland, during spring break. RoadShow Aman Palestin 2009 (RSAP09) has arrived in New Zealand, after succeeded with its objectives in Australia (July). The RoadShow started in Wellington if im not mistaken, then Christchurch, Dunedin and Auckland.

Auckland was the last destination of that RoadShow. Dr. Zainurrashid, the President of AMAN PALESTIN MALAYSIA came over as a very special guest. So, kinda meriah jugak walaupun dah last check point. Many activities were organized for the sake of our brothers and sisters in Palestin. There were also talks given by Dr. Zainurrashid about Palestin, from its history to current issues there.

Alhamdulillah, Aucklanders are very generous and supportive. We're able to collect NZD 10,853.50 for the whole 10 days. And the sum up of collection across New Zealand is around NZD30.000. Thanks to all involved wherever you are. Berkat bulan Ramadhan yang mulia, insyaALLAH ganjaran pahala yang besar buat semua. Ameen. Semoga our brothers and sisters could get the benefit from that. insyaALLAH.

Towards the end of August, 13 years back, such a long time ago, when I was little, God took someone's important in my life. My late dad left me forever. God took him home. God loves him more than my mum does, more than I do, more than anyone else.

I can still remember his advice one day before he off for one-week-outstation, "Nanti abah takde, kakak belajar Maths rajin2 tau". I never knew that would be his last amanat. He waited for my sis and I to come back from kelas mengaji before leaving for his outstation,which he normally didnt do. I can still remember every single things happened on the day he came back from outstation. I can still have that feeling when a police officer called home to inform us about the accident. I can still hear the voice of that doctor saying that he's gone forever right after we reached the doctor's room. I can still remember the hug from an uncle, a total stranger for me when i went out from the room. I can still see my mum cried sobbingly while cuddling my 2 year-old-youngest sister at that hospital. I can still remember that Chinese guy who was blamed for the accident giving me money at the police station. (WTH??)

I remember everything.
And will always do.
The saddest thing happened in my life.

Ramadan, what the heck is that?

Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar. It's when Muslims all over the world spend 30 days observing fast and bettering themselves in principles of faith.

Observing fast? Is that something to do with running, then?

No.

Oh, it must be driving, huh? You know, I can drive really fast, I've got an Escort...

Er...no.

Oh, what is it then?

Observing fast, or fasting, is when a person abstains (or keeps away) from eating and drinking.

What, you don't eat or drink anything? Don't you get hungry? I know I would.

Yes, that's the idea. We fast for 30 consecutive days during the month of Ramadan.

Adam: What, no food? Not even an apple?

30 days? Are you mad? No one can go 30 days without food and drink!

No, that's right, which is why Muslims only fast during daylight hours. Once the fast for each day ends, they are allowed to eat again.

Then, what's the point of fasting?

The reason Muslims fast is to discipline their body and mind. The absence of food and drink and other pleasures provides a perfect opportunity to concentrate on prayer and worship. Not having the luxuries of life to hand makes it easier to reflect on life and be grateful for what we do have. Muslims use this month to start afresh and give their life a new direction

What kind of direction?

Many Muslims use Ramadan to make resolutions, similar to New Year's resolutions. It is a time when they decide how they want to live their life for the next year and try their very best to adhere to their new commitments.

Commitments...?

Yes, like greater commitment to God and faith. Ramadan is a time when Muslims can introduce practices into their life to reflect their religious identity. A lot of Muslims have a desire to pray more and learn more about Islam. Others wish to be better and nicer people while some want to learn Qur'anic Arabic to better their understanding of the Holy Book. For these people, Ramadan is the best opportunity to begin this grand affair with something so personal and spiritually enlightening.

Can't they do it at any other time... why Ramadan?

Ramadan is a blessed month ordained by God. It is the month in which Satan
and his minions are said to be locked away in Hell to prevent them from misleading, deceiving and whispering in the ears of believers.

Adam: Sorry, no music and movies

This doesn't mean that sin and bad deeds will completely disappear for a month but it
will mean that if bad deeds are done and sins committed, they will be from the hearts of people alone and the devil cannot be blamed.

However, God has promised the people that the reward for good deeds and actions during the holy month will be multiplied greater than usual and this encourages many to increase their level of worship and prayer. Although, this also applies to sins and so any naughty actions only invite greater punishment than usual.

Ramadan does make it easier for Muslims to observe their faith though, largely because all Muslims are following the same pattern and so they are always offering each other moral support and encouraging each other to do better. Ramadan brings people much closer than normal as they forgive each other for any misdemeanours of the past, forge new and positive relationships and treat each other with greater respect.

What else do Muslims do in Ramadan?

Well, aside from fasting, they pray more. Muslims should pray five times a day anyway and go to the mosque but many find this difficult so Ramadan helps them to fulfill these practices and in many cases, stick to them long after Ramadan is over. Muslims also read the Qur'an more and understand and share their religious teachings. They also learn to abstain from bad habits and minor and major sins and hopefully continue with the effort when Ramadan is over too.

What kind of bad habits are we talking about?

Many people are always trying to give up things that they know are bad for them or things that make God angry. These are usually things that are not good for people and not good for those around them and so people use Ramadan as the time to drop these ills. It is debatable as to what is considered a bad habit or deed but because Ramadan is observed as a religious obligation, most use religious teachings to determine what is right and what is wrong.

So, what's the really bad stuff then?

A number of things. Practices like smoking, swearing, drinking alcohol and abusing drugs, treating people with disrespect and being mean, harming or hurting living things, being cruel, un-courteous and selfish. There's a whole host of things, many of them universally accepted as 'unhealthy'.

What else is banned during Ramadan?

For Muslims, some things are prohibited all the time, not just in Ramadan but if abstinence isn't being observed, Ramadan is a good time to start or try and implement change in life. Other things are allowed but should be reduced in Ramadan to make more time for prayer and worship. This could be things like watching
television, playing board games, spending too much time dressing up, listening to music, shopping and messing around with mates and so on.

I heard you can't have sex in Ramadan, is this true?

Sex is allowed in Ramadan but not during the fast. Just like food and drink, a person's natural needs must be fulfilled. Muslims are normally allowed to eat, drink and have sexual relations so this would be the case in Ramadan but not during the fast when all must be avoided or they could nulify the fast. When the fast is over for the day, those things that are halal (lawful) may continue but more time should still be spent on worship.

However, Islam doesn't allow extra-marital relationships so any sexual activity outside of marriage or contrary to Islamic teaching is prohibited and those who may indulge in any such activity are expected to try their very best in Ramadan to abstain with
intent to give up - the same applies to any haraam (prohibited) activities
as mentioned before.

What about all that bowing 'yo-yo' stuff?

When you kiss the ground and things?

I think you're referring to prayer. Muslims don't kiss the ground, they prostrate to the Lord in submission. As I mentioned, Muslims must try to improve and excel in their prayer during the holy month, with extra effort on the regular prayers during the day, not just Friday services. Both Muslim men and women should make more effort to go to the mosque and spend more time studying Islamic knowledge and the Qur'an.

Attending lectures and being involved in good work, whether it's helping out at the old folk's home or even attending a peace rally, all is encouraged. During Ramadan, there are special prayers known as the 'Taraweh' service which are performed every
evening at the mosque in congregation.

When does the fast begin and end?

The fast begins just before dawn when Muslims eat a light meal (suhoor) and confirm their intention to fast for the day. The fast ends at sunset when the call to prayer (Adhan) is announced. Eating a date or some water are the recommended and most popular methods of concluding the fast. The time when the fast ends is known as 'Iftar'.

When you break the fast, do you have to eat Asian food?

Because Islam is not a culture, there is no restriction on what is eaten by Muslims provided it is prepared in the halal manner. Quite obviously, pork and alcohol are not allowed. Recommended food items for Muslims include dates, milk, water, honey, olives and figs - all for their nutritional properties and religious significance. With regards to main meals, anything from fish and chips and spag bol to curries and cous-cous is allowed.

Enlightenment is a must during Ramadhan

Why do some people stuff themselves when the fast is over?

Those who are fasting should deprive themselves of the meals they would normally have during the times of fast but they shouldn't really eat all they missed once the fast is over as this defeats the whole objective of the fast. When breaking the fast (of having breakfast, I guess), they should simply have the meal they would on any other day. It is permissible to have a more elaborate feast if one if hosting a 'Iftar' meal for guests as this is considered a good and noble act, in which there is divine reward.

But don't you have to think about the poor?

Yes, Ramadan is also about thinking about the less fortunate and needy although in a lesser degree to improving one's own character over the blessed month. Not eating and drinking does encourage Muslims do recognise how the poverty-stricken and starving people in the world must bear the burden of daily life and this is why, in Ramadan, many Muslims donate more to charities and why mosques collect more so that people right across the world can have better life and those who donate can gain greater regard for well intentioned actions.

So who has to fast, is it everyone?

Not everyone. Young children are encouraged to learn about fasting but fasting is only obligatory (a must) for anyone beyond adolescence (or over the age of 10 according to some scholars). Muslims who have medical conditions that prevent or make fasting difficult, those who are not of sound mind or are going through a pregnancy or menstruation cycle as well as those who are too young or too old do not have to fast. In some circumstances, individuals who cannot fast for any number of reasons may make up the fast at a later date.

What if you need to train at the gym or do sports or something and you know you'll need water?

Ramadan obviously should always be placed first as it is no doubt of greater benefit and only comes around once a year. It would be a missed opportunity if Muslims who wish to fast, and have the ability to do so, miss out while their brothers and sisters participate around them. If Muslims feel they can fast and still carry out any high energy activities, then that's fine but if they have to choose because they can't do both, then fasting would be the better option as they can always get in any recreation
or exercise when the fast is over.

Some people call it 'Ramadam', what's that all about?

The month is correctly known as 'Ramadhan' or 'Ramadan', the latter being the more anglicised version. 'Ramadam' is incorrect and is mistakenly used. 'Ramadam-dam-dam', as pronounced by Ali G, is also wrong but you probably
guessed that already.

When does the month begin, is it the whole of October?

Islamic months follow the lunar calendar, in the same tradition as the Jewish community. Therefore, in relation to the solar, or Gregorian, calendar, Islamic and Jewish months will annually differ by around 11 to 12 days. This means Islamic events will always fall roughly around the same time in the Islamic calendar but always on a different date in the mainstream solar calendar. This year, Ramadan begins in the third week of August, depending on the sighting of the moon, and will end approximately 30 days after, sometime in the third week of September when Muslims conclude the month with festivities and celebrate Eid.

What's Eid?

Eid, or 'Id, means 'festival' or 'celebration' in Arabic and the festival
following Ramadan is known as 'Eid al-Fitr'.

p/s : That's the common questions asked by non-Muslims who dont understand the concept of Ramadhan. I experienced it myself last year especially when my friends who never know about Ramadhan, offered me something to eat ; sweets, chips, drinks, etc.

Today is the sighting for the new moon of Ramadhan here in Auckland.
Less than 24 hours, or maybe 48 hours, we will welcome Ramadhan, the Holy month in Islam where all of the believers have to fast for 30 days, starting from the dawn till the dusk.

Ahlan Wasahlan Ya Ramadhan.

Alhamdulillah, The Most Merciful Allah still gives me a chance to live till Ramadhan coz I realized, not everyone can make it to Ramadhan. This is gonna be my second year, fasting far2 away from my beloved family, in a non-muslim country with no bazaar Ramadhan. T_T

And of course the thrill of becoming a Muslim in this foreign land will be much greater during Ramadhan. I'm blessed to have such an experience. So, I pray for I don't take this coming Ramadhan for granted and be prepared mentally and physically. And I wish this Ramadhan will be much much better for me and others.
Let's grab every opportunites given to us to improve ourselves to become a better Muslim. InsyaALLAH. Ameen.

Mesti pelik kan tgk title entry ni. Tiba tibe jek S.A.K.I.T. Takde ape yg pelik pun sebenarnya sebab kat atas dunia ni, siapa yang tidak pernah sakit? Semua org pernah sakit. kan kan? Maha Suci ALLAH yang mencipta kesakitan. Tapi jangan risau, bukan Aida yang sakit. Aida sihat wal-afiat je. Makin gemuk, bulat dan chubby lagi ade lah. Lagi2 winter skrg ni. Makan mmg favorite activity. hahaha. \(^_^)/

Saja je nak buat entry pasal sakit ni. Sebab nye my housemate yg disayangi, Ismas a.k.a MokMas a.k.a baby (hahhahaha) baru jek lepas habis sesi home quarantine selama seminggu. Semuanya gara2 virus ba alif ba ya itu. Seminggu jugaklah takleh nak attend lectures tapi i know she loves that. hahahhaha (ampun baby). Tapi syukur alhamdulillah, everything's fine. =)

Tadi sebenarnyer ade terbaca something pasal sakit ni. And tetibe terasa nak share that something here. Dalam artikel tu cakap, sebenarnyer ALLAH takdirkan ujian kesakitan kepada hambaNya untuk memberi peluang kepada kita untuk mendapatkan pahala sabar. Adakalanya, keadaan kita terlantar sakit bukan hanya kerana ALLAH ingin menguji kita tetapi juga orang2 di sekeliling kita. Jika kita bersabar dan redha tanpa mengeluh dan merungut, insyaALLAH besar ganjarannya, selari dgn firman ALLAH dalam Surah Az-Zumar, ayat 10 :

"Sesungguhnya diberi ganjaran org sabar dengan pahala tanpa hisab".

Dengan sakit tu, kita sebenarnya mengenal erti bahaya dan berusaha untuk mengelakkannya. Kita juga mengenal erti sihat dan berusaha untuk mengekalkannya. Dan kita juga akan faham nikmat kesejahteraan serta belajar untuk mensyukuri nikmat tu.

So, apa salahnya ALLAH menguji kita andai itu mampu menyelamatkan kita di akhirat kelak. kan?

Daripada Syaddad bin Aus dan Al-Sunabihi, bahwa keduanya masuk melawat seorang sakit, lalu bertanya kepadanya : Bagaimana keadaanmu pagi ini? Dia menjawab, "Aku berada dalam keadaan baik. Lalu Syaddad berkata kepadanya, "Bergembiralah engkau dengan perkara yang menghapuskan dosa dan menggugurkan kesalahan, kerana aku mendengar Rasulullah SAW bersabda ;

"Sesungguhnya ALLAH berfirman : Apabila Aku menguji seseorang dari hambaKu yang mukmin dengan sesuatu penyakit, lalu ia memuji-Ku kerana ujianKu itu, maka sesungguhnya ia akan bangkit dari tempat baringnya itu seperti masa ia dilahirkan ibunya, bersih dari segala kesalahan dan ALLAH juga berfirman kepada malaikat penulis amal ; Aku sudah mengikat hambaKu itu dengan mengujinya, maka lakukan kepadanya apa yang kamu biasa lakukan untuknya (menulis amal baiknya) ketika die berkeadaan sihat."

Jadi, buat mereka yang sedang berhadapan dengan ujian kesakitan dariNya,

Bergembiralah dengan janjiNya bahawa di sebalik kesakitan ada pengampunanNya
Bergembiralah dengan janjiNya bahawa di sebalik kesakitan ada ganjaran pahala tanpa batasan JIKA kita berSABAR.
Bergembiralah dengan janjiNya bahawa di sebalik kesakitan itu ada peningkatan darjat di sisiNya JIKA kita REDHA.

I watched a movie today. Malay movie. I cant really recall when was the last time i watch movie melayu but today, i feel like watching one.

Im not planning to do that subject anyway.

So, i will officially go through Stage III Maths and Stats papers this semester ;

a) MATHS 363 - Advanced Modelling and Computation ;
Much of modern research in applied mathematics, physics and engineering relies heavily on the construction and numerical solution of mathematical models. This course covers the theory and practice of such computational approaches, including the study of numerical linear algebra and differential equations, and bifurcations in ordinary differential equations. Interesting and contageous! Plus ade handsome lecturer kan. haha

b) STATS 370 - Financial Mathematics ;
Mean-variance portfolio theory; options, arbitrage and put-call relationships; introduction of binomial and Black-Scholes option pricing models; compound interest, annuities, capital redemption policies, valuation of securities, sinking funds; varying rates of interest, taxation; duration and immunisation; introduction to life annuities and life insurance mathematics.Brand new material for me, should be fun to learn about!

c)STATS 301 -Statistical Programming and Modelling Using SAS ;
An introduction to the SAS software for the purposes of statistical inference, programming and modeling. A practical course in the use of SAS in industry, such as, Market Research, Finance and Medicine in order to date all the data given to you in a form ready for exploration and modeling. The emphasis will be on getting data from a 'raw and messy' form into as state ready for the data analysis techniques. And all i can say is that, BORING BORING BORING! This subject never fail to make me fall asleep in class. Dgr recorded lecture pun tersengguk2..camane tuh? haish~

Holiday is over NOW

This blog has been abandoned for almost a month. Poor you dear bloggie.
And within that period of time, too many things happened in my life.

1. My very close bestfriends, Emma and Ili who are currently studying in Belfast, UK spent their summer holidays in New Zealand. Yeah! They came all the way from Malaysia. I was extraordinarily happy to see them again after years separated.

2. Emma, Ili and me together with other 7 friends went down to South Island of New Zealand (3rd July till 12th July) to enjoy the chill winter season. We went to Christchurch, Queenstown, Wanaka, Milford Sound, and Dunedin. Let me highlight my been-there-done-that lists..haha.

We went for punting in Christchurch. Gondola and Tram as well. It was awesome! The experience i mean. haha. And i did bungy jump in Queenstown when it was freezingly -3 degree. How cool is that? Cruising the Milford Sound for like 2 hours just to enjoy the very stunning view of Mitre Peak. In Dunedin, we went to Cadbury World and The World's Steepest Street.. and the list goes on and on..(tak larat la nak tulis sume)

After travelling to South Island, I could see the real NZ. And i have to admit that now i live in one of the most beautiful country in the world.

3. Back in Auckland, i brought Emma and Ili join my own trip, Le Tour De Auckland. haha. Viaduct harbour, Chocolate Boutique, Auckland Domain, Parnell, to name a few..and the list goes on again. =p

4. Karaoke-ing therapy. Tension released. Emma got fever, so she didnt tag along.

5. Mafia-ing at home, at Hulu Cat Tea House as well till 2am in the morning. Addicted tho!

6. What else ? Owh. Emma voluntered to cook Ayam Masak Org*** hahaha..But sadly to say, i didnt get the feeling of it. hahaha. Try again next time Emma.

7. Lagi? haaaa..i accompanied Emma to do her bungy jumping at Auckland Harbour Bridge. She jumped twice. Addicted rupenyer bungy ni...Then after that, we have lunch date in Quadrant apartment.
Do i need to mention the name of the chef and the meals? =p

8. Lupe ade satu lagi. Went to One Tree Hill on this one night. Erwan drove the car and we finally reached the top of the hill at 12.30am. Then, lepak mcD 24hours in Ponsonby till 2.00am. Jalan jalan cari makan.

That's roughly my circle of life for past few weeks.

And i miss those moments. Seriously.

Now class has started. I enrolled for 4 subjects this semester tho i actually wanna do 3 , still thinking which subject will be dropped any sooner.

Will update you soon about my bungy jump! heee.

Assalamualaikum wbth.

That thought unexpectedly came and rushed into my mind,and blended with my heart.
I lost my focus on what i was about to do.
It was like something is there, haunting me.
Until I cried alone in my room. Psycho huh?
And finally talking to my mum over the phone.
I dunno what had happened to me.
But the voice of a woman called MOTHER,
least the burden.
Even though she did not really know what exactly is.
The thought. The feeling. began to fade away and gone.
Last few days, one day before my last paper,
it came again.
And pushed me into my very deep sadness. AGAIN.
I did not know what to do at that particular moment.
People around me busy with exams.
My mum was not at home at that time.
Someone considered as good friend was busy with his internship back in Malaysia.

Talked to Husni 2 days ago.
Talked to my two lovely housemates,Tikah and Ismas
during dinner last night.
Talked to Shah before going to bed.
And now i'm feeling better.
Much much better than before.

Self-deception is not good for soul~

It's good for those who wanna learn more about this related topic.
and for those who need the changes for a better environment.

SELF DECEPTION

Self-deception is a process of denying or rationalizing away the relevance, significance, or importance of opposing evidence and logical argument. It is an act of deceiving oneself or the state of being deceived by someone.

It has been theorized that humans are susceptible to self-deception because most people have emotional attachments to beliefs, which in some cases may be irrational. Some biologists, such as evolutionary biologist such as Robert Trivers have suggested that deception plays a significant part in human behaviour, and in animal behavior, more generally speaking. It has been theorized that an instinct for self-deception can give a person a selective advantage, based on the rationale that if a person can believe their own "lie" (i.e., their presentation that is biased toward their own self-interest), the theory goes, they will consequently be better able to persuade others of its "truth."

It may also be argued that the ability to deceive, or self-deceive, is not the selected trait but a by-product of a more primary trait called abstract thinking. Abstract thinking allows many evolutionary advantages such as more flexible, adaptive behaviors and innovation. Since a lie is an abstraction, the mental process of creating a lie can only occur in animals with enough brain complexity to permit abstract thinking.

The motivated misapprehension of the facts of the case. This may include actively believing what is not true, and refusing to acknowledge a truth, in circumstances where without the motivation the truth would be obvious. The philosophical problem, sometimes called the paradox of self-deception, is that normal deception requires one agent who knows the truth, and who conceals it from another agent. So within a single agent the state appears to be impossible, since the agent must know the truth to begin a process of deceiving him or herself about it. One solution is to postulate one part of the mind that knows the truth, and that sets about deceiving another part of the mind that does not. However, it is not clear that it is useful to employ the spatial analogy of minds with parts, nor to suppose that the ‘sub-systems’ responsible for the state are usefully thought of as themselves independent ‘agents’ that not only know things but have plans and projects and can set about doing things. There is nothing problematic about desires influencing beliefs, and some people are better than others at believing what they wish to be true. The problem only arises if achieving this state is thought of as a plan that the agent follows. But even then the project of coming to believe what one knows to be false is coherent, provided that process is spread over time, and the means adopted involve losing the knowledge during the process.

*This is philosophical psychology that I learn in my Psychology classes.

It is now a pandemic!

*(GENEVA) — The World Health Organization told its member nations it was declaring a swine flu pandemic Thursday — the first global flu epidemic in 41 years — as infections climbed in the United States, Europe, Australia, South America and elsewhere.

In a statement sent to member countries, WHO said it decided to raise the pandemic warning level from phase 5 to 6 — its highest alert — after holding an emergency meeting on swine flu with its experts.

The long-awaited pandemic decision is scientific confirmation that a new flu virus has emerged and is quickly circling the globe. It will trigger drugmakers to speed up production of a swine flu vaccine and prompt governments to devote more money toward efforts to contain the virus.

"At this early stage, the pandemic can be characterized globally as being moderate in severity," WHO said in the statement, urging nations not to close borders or restrict travel and trade. "(We) remain in close dialogue with influenza vaccine manufacturers."

On Wednesday, WHO said 74 countries had reported nearly 27,737 cases of swine flu, including 141 deaths.

The agency has stressed that most cases are mild and require no treatment, but the fear is that a rash of new infections could overwhelm hospitals and health authorities — especially in poorer countries. Still, about half of the people who have died from swine flu were previously young and healthy — people who are not usually susceptible to flu.

Swine flu is also continuing to spread during the start of summer in the northern hemisphere. Normally, flu viruses disappear with warm weather, but swine flu is proving to be resilient.

The last pandemic — the Hong Kong flu of 1968 — killed about 1 million people. Ordinary flu kills about 250,000 to 500,000 people each year.

Many health experts say WHO's pandemic declaration could have come weeks earlier but the agency became bogged down by politics. In May, several countries urged WHO not to declare a pandemic, fearing it would cause social and economic turmoil.

"This is WHO finally catching up with the facts," said Michael Osterholm, a flu expert at the University of Minnesota who has advised the U.S. government on pandemic preparations.

Despite WHO's hopes, raising the epidemic alert to the highest level will almost certainly spark some panic about spread of swine flu.

Fear has already gripped Argentina, where thousands of people worried about swine flu flooded into hospitals this week, bringing emergency health services in the capital of Buenos Aires to the brink of collapse. Last month, a bus arriving in Argentina from Chile was stoned by people who thought a passenger on it had swine flu. Chile has the most swine flu cases in South America.

In Hong Kong on Thursday, the government ordered all kindergartens and primary schools closed for two weeks after a dozen students tested positive for swine flu — a move that some flu experts would consider an overreaction.

In the United States, where there have been more than 13,000 cases and at least 27 deaths from swine flu, officials at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the move would not change how the U.S. tackled swine flu.

It has been declared the first 21st century flu pandemic, by WHO, yesterday. It is the first influenza pandemic since 1968.

This virus does not kill much, but the bad thing is, it can mix up with other type of viruses and be terrifying enough to keep the death toll increases day by day.

And right now, there are 11 cases reported in Malaysia, all of them are imported cases.

This is really a wake-up call from God. As a reminder for all.

Cold Weather Bites In North Island

Temperatures in the upper North Island have been colder than in many South Island areas this morning.

It was minus three in Auckland and minus four in Hamilton. Those temperatures are the coldest of the year so far, and far colder than overnight temperatures in the South Island which are mainly in the positive range.

Weather Watch analyst Philip Duncan says it is very strange to see the normal temperature ranges throughout the country, reversed.

"That's basically due to the fact that the cold air left over from the Antarctic blast last weekend still remains across Northern New Zealand, while the rest of the country has seen a bit of a change overnight with clouds and a slight breeze developing ahead of another cold snap."

Mr Duncan says a change is coming which will raise the minimum temperatures, but lower the highs.

In the South Island, black ice caused four accidents in the space of an hour in Motueka early this morning.

Sergeant Rob Crawford said a light rain at 5am caused the black ice.

"It iced everything up," Mr Crawford said.

He said the four accidents between 7.30am and 8.30am caused no injuries
but there was severe damage to the vehicles.

Mr Crawford said the morning sun is improving conditions and local
contractors have put grit on the roads.

Meanwhile MetService has forecast light snow showers on the Milford Rd
near the Homer Tunnel.

MetService is forecasting showers could turn to snow before clearing this evening with up to 2cm accumulating in the road.

Nasi Kerabu Tumis PERANTAU~

Today is Wednesday,
and it's my turn to cook meals for dinner.
For the first time in my life,
I cooked nasi kerabu.
as requested by Syaq.
( kalau Syaq tak request, mmg tak buat walaupun sebenarnyer diri sendiri teringin jgk nak makan nasi kerabu =p )
Got the recipes from my mum 2 days ago.
Complicated, that's all i can say.
Thank God it turned out very well.

Sememangnyer tak cukup bahan2,
cam bunga kantan, kacang panjang (ganti ngan kacang buncis),
solok lada, bawang jeruk,telur masin sume tuh =(
*mane nak dpt kt tengah2 bandar Auckland ni?*
Tapi tetap memuaskan hati yg dah lama gile teringin nak makan nasi kerabu.
Pekena dengan keropok ikan yang diterbangkan khas dari Kelantan,
and ayam goreng salut tepung, mmg dah cukup yummy!

Walaupun sebelum tu, terpaksa bertungkus lumus tumbuk kerisik gune lesung kayu.
Hahaha.
Funny tho!
